Jo Rycroft-Malone
Dr. Rycroft-Malone qualified as a registered nurse in 1987 and since then gained a BSc in Psychology (1994)
and an MSc in Occupational Psychology (1995). Whilst taking on a number of different research roles she completed a PhD (part-time: 1999-2002) exploring patient participation in medication education awarded the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Southampton. Dr. Rycroft-Malone is currently a Professor of Health Services and Implementation Research in the School of Healthcare Sciences at Bangor University in the UK.. She is a principal and co-investigator on a number of national and international research projects related to evidence based practice and knowledge translation. She is particularly interested in modeling knowledge translation, and the process of implementation and linking this with the evaluation of outcomes and patient experience. She has published widely and presented at numerous national and international health care conferences. Jo has also been the editor of Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing for the last 4 years; a peer-reviewed, quarterly international journal.
